Introducing: the Seeing Stars Blog!
We will be using the blog to chronicle club activities, and to discuss astronomy-related topics and events. Check back often for updates!
We’ve been making a number of improvements around the site lately.
First, we have new software for the All Sky Camera! The new software provides some interesting features, such as a panoramic view and animations of the previous several minutes of activity. Visit the Weather Forecasts page to see the new views. These images are no longer automatically updated, but you can click on an image to be redirected to the site that hosts the animated views.
Also, we have added a widget to the sidebar that displays the latest image from the All Sky Camera.
And finally, the site has been upgraded to the latest version of WordPress.
If you’d like to join in on the club’s online discussions, head over to the Forums and register!
The new HAAS Forums are online! If you are a member of the club, or would like to become a member, please visit the Forums page and register. Remember, membership is free and we welcome any and all who are interested in astronomy!
An all sky camera has been installed at the Sam Houston State University Observatory. A live view is available on the Weather Forecasts page.

The Galleries section is finally online. Special thanks goes out to the members who contributed images. If you are a HAAS member and would like to contribute some of your work, please contact me (Rory Glasgow) in the Forums.
Welcome to the Huntsville Amateur Astronomy Society web site!
The site is currently under construction, so check back often over the next few weeks to see what’s been added. Future updates will include more images in the Galleries and activation of the Forums.
If you would like more information about HAAS, please click on the Information and Join HAAS tabs.
Check out the Events calendar for events hosted by HAAS and other clubs in the Southeast Texas area.
Meeting times will be posted in the Forums when they are up and running. In the meantime, please continue to use the old Yahoo! group.
